The essence of life is not related to longevity but to the sum of memorable experiences. If we have lived even more than a hundred years staying at home, afraid of imaginary dangers, and if the only pleasure has been the purchase of the next toy, with which we got bored after a couple of days then we have really not lived at all. When traveling, every moment we go through gives more, than in years being only at home. When I speak of traveling, I don't mean any organized form of travel, because this kind of travel is the same as sitting in front of a TV. Real adventures mean organizing everything by ourselves, going through the problems often encountered when crossing borders, befriending new peoples, learning languages and dealing with unexpected situations, sometimes grave, but in the end recalled by us with pleasure.
